St Paul's, Whitechapel
The reuse of redundant church buildings for appropriate socially beneficial purposes is important for preserving their heritage values and the sense of community they embody, qualities that are key to local identity, especially in multi-cultural inner city areas. In this typical example of a redundant Anglican parish church, comprising a landmark city centre building and adjacent Georgian vicarage, we prepared a feasibility study for connversion to a hostel and multi-use centre for schools and other visitors to the City of London, includiing a coffee shop, restaurant, sports hall, exhibition and lecture facilities.
