The Globe, Gravesend

Design for The Globe
The site

Robin Kent Architecture & Conservation's design for a new clubhouse attached to The Globe public house in Gravesend, Kent, completed the Classical style Georgian terrace, which includes a house once occupied by General Gordon of Khartoum while in command of the nearby Thames artillery fort.

Bringing old and new together, the design included a modern sports-hall, bars, function and meeting rooms towards the front, and reception rooms opening onto a terrace at first floor level, facilities much needed in the local community.
