Christchurch Street, Ipswich

The white brick facade harmonises with the adjacent listed house the catslide roof at the rear
the gap as it appeared before development.
...as it appeared before.

Our award winning design for this private house filled a gap in the street frontage of the conservation area, completing it with a new house in matching Suffolk white brick, natural slate and sash windows, to harmonise with the adjacent listed Georgian town house.

The design incorporates an existing single storey extension and garage, once a doctor's surgery, as well as the original arched garden gate, now the new front door. At the rear, a contrasting warm red brick and modern catslide roof with large roof windows enhances the intimate rear garden and ensures plenty of light for the upstairs textile artists' studio.
