St Mary's, Shenley

British Standard 7913 recommends regular inspection of historic buildings and comprehensive inspections at 5-year intervals are the best way to ensure that defects are spotted before they become costly failures.

In this example of an 11th century parish church featured in the Domesday book, a quinquennial report prepared by Robin Kent Architecture & Conservation provided the basis for a comprehensive programme of repairs, and the consultancy also designed a linked church hall in a traditional style sympathetic and yet contrasting with, the medieval building.

St Mary's Shenley Design for a church hall accessed through the (blocked) North door.
