How do you improve the appearance of an unattractive Modernist style building in the centre of Madrid and enable the church that uses it to present a more appealing public face? Our design proposed a giant circular window to express the unity of the church family and their openness to the city. Contrasting with the projecting rectangular bay above, the window provides street level views into the social areas of the church and a bold sign.
