Well House

When we inspected the well house it was neglected and overgrown.

Our report on this historic well house, found movement in the stone slab roof and walls due to water from the spring just behind it, and wash-out of the original mortar joints, which had been affected by biological growths, lichens and algae. The fine wrought iron door was also in need of attention due to rust and rampant vegetation. We also carried out a study of the nearby abbey gatehouse.

After 'first aid' repairs... ...but the vegetation is regrowing.
