Residential Home

Special design skill and ingenuity is needed to ensure that alterations to historic properties in secondary uses are carried out in ways that are reversible and minimally intrusive, and of sufficient quality to ensure that the value of the heritage asset is preserved. In this way, the economic value of the property itself will also be maintained and may even increased.

Here, we advised on access improvements and the design of accessible bathroom facilities to enhance the use of this historic Edwardian mansion as a luxurious residential home for elderly people, making it more convenient for staff and residents.
