This historic water mill with adjoining grain kiln and cartsheds, parts of which may date from before 1666, had fallen out of use and was so ruinous that it was unsafe to enter, despite being a listed historic building. Our design converted it to a comfortable new dwelling with important features such as the granary windows and cartshed arches preserved to enhance its character and value. We also designed a new attached double garage and a 2-storey conservatory to provide passive solar gain and spectacular views of the river valley and surrounding hills.

The mill originally had an enclosed wheel at one end The conservatory is designed to reflect the industrial origins of the building
