The historic village of Wittingham straddles the River Aln and may be the site of Twyford (ie 'two fords) mentioned by the Venerable Bede; a chuch was recorded here in 735 AD. Our report on the conservation area included mapping listed buildings and character sub-areas, as well as replacement windows (below), and our recommendations for boundary changes were also shown graphically. We always use graphical means of presentation to communicate our findings.
