Amble Conservation Area

The conservation area scoping study of the seaside town of Amble, which we carried out included historic research and site inspections to pinpoint its special architectural and townscape features and historic interest. We made recommendations for negative and neutral areas and trends and recommended statutory protection of this important historic town, outlining the boundaries of the potential conservation area. Further detailed studies and consultations with the community highlighted the benefits for local people and tourism that the proposal could bring, and led to the designation of the conservation area.
