Our study of the fishing port of Craster, with its famous traditonal smoke houses, highlighted its special architectural and townscape features and historic interest, and made recommendations for negative and neutral areas and trends. We recommended statutory protection and outlined the boundaries of a potential conservation area, resulting in further detailed studies and consultations.
