Whitton, Northumberland

The small, picturesque village of Whitton is centred on an important Vicar's Pele, Whitton Pele Tower. Our scoping study included archival research and site inspections to highlight the architectural and townscape features and historic interest of the village, and prompted further study with a view to possible designation of Whitton as a conservation crea.
