St Mary's and All Souls, Coldstream

View looking east

St Mary's and All Souls, Coldstream is a parish church designed by Charles Turnbull Ewing in an austere French Gothic style with Arts and Crafts overtones. Dating from 1914, it replaced a 'Tin Tabernacle' erected in 1897. The dedication is said to refer to the medieval chapel at Lennel, as well as the Scots who fell at the nearby battle of Flodden in 1513.

Robin Kent Architecture and Conservation carried out a full quinquennial report to guide future maintenance and has also advised the church on damp proofing and masonry repairs, helping to ensure that it is properly and economically maintained.
