We are keen to see disused historic buildings given sustainable new uses that preserve their special character and appearance. In this case, our proposals for restoration of a ruined water mill as a luxurious new home in the countryside have been supported by archival research to determine the original form of the building, as well as meetings with highways and development control planners and a structural report to ensure that the work is feasible and acceptable to the local council.
