The historic coaching inn, much altered and extended, as we found it... ...and after refurbishment and upgrading

This typical coaching inn dates from the mid eighteenth century, when it was an important stage on journeys between Edinburgh, Newcastle and London. We carried out historic research and site evaluations to determine its date and historic development, and prepared a conservation report to inform the clients' comprehensive restoration and refurbishment.
