ChurchesChurch buildings form the core of our built heritage but can present special conservation problems, both as redundant buildings and as 'living buildings' serving the needs of growing modern church communities. As committed Christians, we particularly relish the challenges of church buildings and enjoy working alongside trustees, building committees, church wardens, leadership teams, elders, pastors and ministers, and community groups, to design new church buildings, extensions, alterations and improvements in access and facilities such as toilets and kitchens. We have published articles on aspects of church building design: see Publications. We also carry out quinquennial inspections and advise on maintenance; historic evaluations and conservation statements, and feasibility studies in connection with the re-use of redundant church buildings.
