Robin Kent Architecture & Conservation views the family home as the most important building type, and we particularly enjoy working with home-owners to help them realise their dreams. We usually work on listed buildings or new designs in sensitive historic contexts, but we have also designed new-build private houses in traditional and modern styles, residential homes, extensions and alterations to existing dwellings, and conversions of disused agricultural and other buildings with special character into homes and holiday cottages, hostels and hotels. Our residential work to date has also included access audits, defects investigations, condition inspections and quinquennial reports, to guide improvements and repairs and help with maintenance budgeting. Often we go on to act in the design and specification of remedial work, including conservation and restoration works to key elements of fine historic buildings, such as windows, chimneys, roofs, parapets and battlements. Contact us if you would like to discuss how we could help you with a particular project.
